Police were unable to locate the dog.12:41 p.m.: A caller reported a dead seagull in the parking lot at Atlantica Restaurant on Border Street. She said she did not want kids to go near it and would like it removed. The animal control officer was notified and responded.1:39 p.m.: Animal control follow-up was conducted in Bates Lane.2:13 p.m.: A caller reported finding a gas can on the storm drain on Beechwood Street at Chief Justice Cushing Highway. He stated he set the can upright but was concerned about how much gas went in the storm drain. Police reported the 5-gallon gas can was still three-quarters full and took it to the gas station.4:45 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car accident at Shaw�s Supermarket on Chief Justice Cushing Highway and requested an officer to assist with the paper exchange. No injuries were reported.5:53 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious older black pickup truck outside on Forest Notch with ladders on top. The male operator stated his vehicle had broke down and his cell phone wasn�t working and asked the caller to call a number. She stated she called it but it was not answered. Police reported the motor vehicle appeared to be running. Scituate Collision was notified, and the male party was transported to Dunkin� Donuts on King Street.5:57 p.m.: Fire personnel responded to James Lane for a report of an inside odor of gas. Personnel reported the odor was due to a new appliance.Tuesday, May 28:23 a.m.: A caller reported his smoke detectors sounding on Aaron River Road. He reported no smoke or fire and did not want anyone to respond.
